Full Description: This UniFlame Skeetervac Mosquito Trap is ideal for residential properties up to 1 acre with moderate biting insect problems. This Skeetervac features a cordless design, electronic ignition, FineTune Baiting System, Tac N Vac Dual Trapping, motion lighting, and 27K cc/hr CO2 rating (up to 80 percent more than competitors). Female biting insects require blood to nourish their eggs. They track down hosts by sensing the carbon dioxide, moisture and heat from breath, body odors, and color contrasts. SkeeterVac mosquito exterminators create a combination of those cues, tricking the insects into thinking the trap is a host body. Once the pests are attracted to the exterminator, they are captured on the sticky tac trap or sucked into the enclosed WaveDrawer by a powerful vacuum fan. Once trapped, they dehydrate and die. The SkeeterVac burns propane gas from a standard 20 lb cylinder in a sealed combustion chamber where it is catalyzed into warm carbon dioxide and water. This precision mixture is exhausted into the air stream. Additionally, a unique time-released FineTune lure at the top of the unit emits a scent that increases the attraction power for many species of biting insect. Because different species are enticed by different amounts of the attractant, the SkeeterVac allows you to vary the amount of attractant to match the species in your backyard. The SkeeterVac has been independently tested by the USDA and proved to be effective at attracting, trapping, and killing a wide variety of biting insects. For best results, place the SkeeterVac trap in a shady spot close to the area where the insects live.
